Original with original mapping, Akra without cats and with the Akra mapping.
Akra mapping with the original silencers does nothing...
This is the 690 Prestige from a friend of mine. Red are the original exhausts with original mapping. Blue is a complete LeoVince system with Akra mapping. The better and larger airbox and double exhaust from the SM makes it clearly more powerful with smoother power curves than the 'Competition' SMC.

It is also important if the 'Abgleich' procedure of the EFI system is done under the same ambient conditions with both bikes.

Will keine Träume zustören, aber ich habe berechtigten Grund zu der Annahme - denn bereits auf dem Prüfstand getestet - , daß der Acrapovic außer Optik, Sound und Gewichtsreduktion in Sachen Leistung erschüttend wenig bringt.

That sounds very strange... the latest Akra map is # KM750EU0804031 and it is from March 22. Works really good too...

Naja, also bei der Akra-Komplettanlage hast du eine veränderte Krümmerführung und das Rohr schaut auch dicker aus, das bringt sicher etwas, aber das Meiste wird halt übers Mapping generiert und den Fakt, dass dann die Kats weg sind.
Schaut nicht nur dicker aus, ist es auch. 6mm größere durchmesser und conisch aufgebaut. Das meiste komt von die veränderte Krümmerführung und durchmesser. Nicht von die Mapping.

Ich versuche in Deutsh...

Hier die graphiken von die 690er Prestige von ein freund von mich. Die rote graphik ist 100% original, de blaue ist mit ein volle LeoVince auspuff anlage und Akra mapping.
Die graphic ziegt leistung un drehmoment am hinterrad. Transmissionsverlust zwischen kurbelwellen und hinterrad ist auf jedem fall 11%, oft mehr. So an die kurbelwelle wir sehen hier 71PS und 73Nm.

Bin gespannt auf Dein Ergebnis. Hab´meine bei micron "abdrücken" lassen; mit Komplettakra + Kats + mit Orginalmapping: 69PS@7400rpm 73Nm@5800rpm
Gut aber das ist an die kurbelwelle... nicht am hinterrad...I didn't know there is a Powercommander for the 690. Looking at the Powercommander website there isn't...

It is not the mapping that changes, only the ignition curve...

All 690 engines have a slipperclutch. Also from 07. The SMR engine is identical to the 07 SM engine. No other cam, nothing changed...

Fur die normale SMs kostet die frontmaske etwa 30 euro. Kein hauptsache glaub ich...

War gerade beim Händler...leider kann er den Kennzeichenhalter der Duke als Ersatzteil noch nicht bestellen, weil es noch nicht in der Datenbank aufgenommen wurde.

This could be a good successor of the good old Pirelli MT60... Developed for SMs and looks really good too.

74 PS at the rear wheel or at the crank? Big difference! I have seen dyno graphs from a stock 690 with a complete Akra putting out 69 PS at the crank.
About 65-66 PS at the rear wheel is getting close to 74 PS at the crank. I think that is realistic...

I know that test. I don't think it is Unsinn but they are not completely right either. The press also said the SMC would have a vergasser instead of EFI... They speak about a different throttle body on the Duke but it's exactly the same as the one from the SM. Only the selectable ignition maps are different (and that IS Unsinn...
)The camshaft of the 690 Duke seems to get an almost mystical status while in reality it puts out only 2 PS more (together WITH the exhaust). That is a very small difference... German magazine Motorrad said they found the Duke engine more unwilling then the SM and they weren't so sure that is was really stronger or better than the SM.
I think it's more interesting to explore the possibilities with the camshaft from the 690 Rally Factory Replica...

There is no 'tuning camshaft'... The camshaft AND the exhaust from the Duke give nominal 2 PS (...) more. Different weather can make 2 PS difference too.
