variable induction is all ready done :
My job is dream maker , especially mine
Everybody can have an account in Pit Lane , it's easier for me to be in one place to share this project , tank's for you'r understanding
I see that everybody is forgetting about all my job !!!!lol
FD-RACING it's me and i got 90 ps from an 690 ( 654 cc) already in 2009
there's plenty o f infos everywhere on me and my engines ;-)
i was the first who use twin injectors on this engine and variable length induction
the last one ( in 2012 ) has 88 ps at wheel , witch is about 98 ps at crank , and it was an 693 cc , 80 mm stroke and 105 RC8R piston .
my new "build" is an 690 with ducati 1098 r head and piston and my new injection ( variable venturi )
for those who speaks french you will get pics and infos at 17pouces.net , and maybe here too !!
hello,
is there anybody here who knows the cam timing at 1 mm lift , for the rc8 and the rc8r ??
how do you correct the fueling? Is it possible with the
original KTM tool or do you need something like tunecu ?
i use my own digital injection/ignition , with 2 injectors ![]()
Thanks fd,
I am really proud as well! But still as i said i have some minor issues when i installed the kit.
The bike some times runs alone at 2000-2300rpm with the clutch engaged.
But 90 rwhp it's reallyyyyy impresive!!!
it is impresive to ride !!!! front wheel always on air
.
the trouble you'r teeling is typical for this setup , other riders has the same problem , i thing the map is to lean , it needs more fuel at the idle ![]()
74 rwhp for an 690 Duke R , including the evo 2 kit , it's very normal , and i know what i am talking about , my engines , even in 693 cc give's 90 rwhp ![]()
working hard gives always result , and i am happy for you Glockan ![]()
the fact is that your engine is running lean, because off the new camshaft , if you have the possibilitie to get tuneboy or other program , you can fix the trouble in giving more fuel at the idle , you can also adjust the ignition timing , increasing the fuel you increase the timing a little bit ![]()
before this be sure that the throttle body is set propely ![]()
I did it , because 2 points is not enough to lock the engine to the frame , by far
, 3 point is a minimun , take a look at all the similar bikes ![]()
it create some more high frequency vibrations, that are nocive for high output engine.
it's strange that KTM have made such mistake
, nobody's perfect ![]()
allo ,
sorry but I dont speak german
, you may have heard about what i did with my 690 smc
, for people who are interested go to http://fd63.free.fr
there will be very soon more photos and video ![]()
Hi everybody,
I have made some test whit the new camshaft I made, and the results speak's for themself ![]()
70.8 hp and 7.2 m/kg at the rear wheel
next step is a different camshaft for more rev's and less torque , because 7.2 m/kg at the rear wheel it's too much ![]()
