Hey everyone and apologies for the English Language, I am actually Greek and not German.
I hope this does not go againt any rules. I searched everywhere but the most information regarding our bike i found it in this forum using translator.
I already send the message below to a member which i saw in many posts he is an expert so I will just copy paste.
I have an RC8 2088 (Single spark) for the last 4 years which is mainly for track use.
I want to install a traction control system, but I am not a big fan of the aftermarket ones (GRIPONE, IRC etc.)
Then I thought that I can use the traction control system of a 1290 Super duke 2019+.
I thought I could take from the Super Duke the throttle bodies, the ECU, the electronic throttle grip, the complete wiring harness and a dashboard and I could be ok.
Then I saw that the bodies are different sizes. I can use bodies from the RC8R (twin spark) or even make aluminum spacers for the 1290 and connect the wiring from 1290 to twin spark bodies. But also I read in a post something about thermal problems with the second injectors and I am hitting dead end.
What do you guys think I could do in order to fit the 1290 traction system to rc8
?
P.S. I saw some reviews of the aftermarket Gripone that it is not really good.
Many thanks! ![]()
