For dry tarmac, full race slicks are always the right answer. However when the track is dusty or when extra grip is required for damp patches or that tricky off-road section, pre-cut race slicks offer an easy solution to the tedious task of cutting normal slicks. Pre-cut race slicks are also suitable for track day riders who intend to ride to and from a track day as both the front and the 160/60 x 17 rear tyres are E4 marked and are fully road legal! The 165/56 x 17 rear tyre is for racing purposes only.
Pre-cut slicks are available in two compounds; Soft and Medium. Medium compound is available now, Soft compound will be available from December 2005. Rear pre-cut slicks are available in two sizes; 160/60 x 17 for 4.5" to 5" rims and 165/56 x 17 for 5" to 5.5" inch rims. Front pre-cut slicks are available in one standard size; 120/70 x 17.
