Well, it's a long time that i've read such an interesting discussion on this forum!
Concerning the AT i think Honda's main market is the USA where there is still a lot of space to use the AT's full off-road potential (they have in America a complete line of CRF models). Maybe the AT is 10 years too late. Forget the times to go North-Africa to drive peaceful and safe in the desert...
On the other hand the price-dumping of the 1050 makes KTM win time between now and the launch off the 800/900 parallel twin. And what will happen to the 690 (one year ago we saw this: http://www.visordown.com/motor…enduro-r-spied/25971.html) ?
Today i visited my BMW dealer; they had a pré-meeting preparing the Brussel Motor Show. The 9T scrambler will be available September 2016; price €13000... -
Honda's AT = The Legend
The only legend in the KTM range is the LC4.
I was tempted by the 'cheap' price for the 1050; but buying on price is never a good advice.
Comparing build quality, reliability, maintenance costs the 1050 is no match for the Honda.
I'll gladly spent the extra €4000!!! -
... und meiner bot gestern neben den Weihnachtskeksen noch eine 1050 für ganze 8500 Euro an, allerdings einen (ganz frischen) Vorführer oder sogar eine Tageszulassung. Das wollte ich aber gar nicht so genau wissen, denn damit kommt ja auch die 1190er unter Preisdruck. Diese tollen Motorräder werden zur Zeit tatsächlich verramscht - mehr Mopped gibt es zu diesem Preis so schnell nicht wieder. Zuschlagen, jetzt!
