• Hi " Dudes " !
First post here. I am from England and have owned my SD for 2 months now.
Looking to get more power. Leo vince cans will be ordered soon.
But what is the SAS Valve all about??
And, can I get a steering damper for the Super Duke??
Not the KTM one, thats far to expencive.

    Cheers...

  • The SAS or SLS is a system to reduce the exaust emissions by burning the remainig fuel particles. Therefor fresh air is lead fron the intake through the SAS into the manifold. The fresh air delivers the Oxygen and the heat from the exhaust gases the energy to (self-)inflame the remaing fuel.

Sorry about the other question i'm not a SD-driver.

    Regards

  • hello
    sorry for my english

SLS= SAS....... it is not necessary..... only with aftermarket exhaust

KTM propose to eliminate it with the exhaust AKRAs and new ecm mapping.

look the 2006 official racing part for SD.

  • Hi,

I de-installed the SLS sytem some time ago. I recommend to do it. I don't like parts on the bike that are not really nessecary. My feeling is that the engine works softer and that you have more power on lower and mid RPM.

  • Schau mal in die Download Area, da gibt es ein Dokument dazu...

In the download section is a document for getting rid of the SLS aviable...

    Gruß/Cheers
