Hitting Nuetral all the time?

  • Is it just me or does the Superduke have a big hole between 1st and 2nd gears.
I seem to be forever hitting nuetral between these two gears.
Sometimes the bike will slip back into nuetral from second.
    Anyone have similar issues??

  • Hi,
I haven't noticed anything like that on mine. Sounds strange, maybe you should go and check it with your dealer.

  • I agree, te gap between the 1st and the 2nd gear is not smallest one!

The problem that the gear I've choost will not keep I've never had :sehe sterne: .

  • Hi there dukeUK990,

Did you checked the chain-tension? :?:

Otherwise: Go see the KTM :teuflisch:doctor!!

    Good luck with the Duke

  • Yep, from second into neutral...
Got it once yesterday... But I'm sure it was because I did not lift the shifter high enough!
Maybe you should check the position of the shifter...
If it's too low, the movement of your foot should not suffice to lift it high enough...
    Just an idea!

Of course, if you own the Superduke for almost a year already, forget all above!
I can not imagine that you'd have that problem suddenly! :lautlach:

Without data you're just another person with an opinion.

  • Thanks for the input guys,
Rene, the chain likes to be tight hey, 5mm of travel or something like that. But it soon works loose again.
    Lumpy Twins Hey!
Marq, I have been meaning to do some fine adjustments to the gear change linkage, now is the time I think.

    Cheers
