In South Africa there are many very long stretches of roads where cruise control can be used.
Does anybody know if the bike cruise controls have a function where you can set the maximum speed and then control your actual speed below that maximum as you please? (my car has such a function)
That could be a handy function for everybody

auf der Intermot waren an der neuen 1290er Adventure ...wings verbaut.... und der hintere Krümmer war umwickelt... weiss jemand ob die 1190er auch nachgerüstet wird?
oder muss ich für viel Geld die Wings aus dem PP Programm kaufen?

Woher kommt eigendlich der Wert 1A für ACC 2 - bzw wo ist er offiziell dokumentiert ?
Im Beitrag 53 hier wurde ACC 2 mal kurz mit 5A angegeben, anderswo auch schon mit 2.5A, wieder woanders (z.B 950/990 Forum) auch mit vollen 10A...
Die Absicherung mit 10A für ACC 1 ist klar aus dem E-Schema in der Rep-Anleitung erkennbar.
ACC2 has a white label (sticker) on it that says "1A max"

Federvorspannung war auf 2 Personen eingestellt. Reifenluftdruck angepasst. Etc etc.....
Lenkungsdämpfer war angeblich i.O.
Werkstatt scheint mir auch ein Problem zu sein. Vor allem fehlt der Chef mit technischer Expertise.

Das youtube-Video bezieht sich nur auf 2013er Modelle. Wo ist belegt, daß die 2014er Box mit zusätzlichen Staubsöckchen (PowerParts) nicht sauber bleibt? Für´s allererste Posting hätte ich mir mal wenigstens ein "Guten Tag" gewünscht...

"2014 1190 Adventure Airbox"
Ich habe mich heute gewundert warum ich mein Navi auf dem PP Halter so leicht bewegen kann. Grund war, das sich die beiden Schrauben an der "Walze" gelöst haben. Ich konnte die schon mehrere Umdrehungen fest ziehen. Also da mal nach schauen bevor man die schrauben verliert.
ist bei mir auch passiert - musste beide Schrauben ersetzen 
die Hupe wird von der Motor control unit gesteuert, also nicht direkt vom Schalter

"Ok guys, here are the dyno results. All runs are with a wings short muffler with small insert/baffle (with USA spark arrestor cut off) installed. No cat.

The dyno operator did a great job making at least 4 pulls with each scenario. Then picking the best one, but within each scenario the numbers were very consistent.
The first set of runs was with the Uni-Filter SYSTEM, including snorkels, pre-filter, filter and air box lid gasket.

Then we pulled the snorkel filters out.
126.82hp - 78.77tq
Third set of runs, stock air filter, no air box lid gasket.
130.23hp - 80.17
I thought the Uni-fliter would take a little HP, for me I thought it was worth the 2 or 3 HP for good motor protection. Ja hier bei uns mussten nun schon mindestens 5 Motore gewaeckselt werden - ob der DNA filter wirklich die Lösung sein wird, werden wir schnell sehen - viele hier machen auch den Uni filter rein und sind sehr zufrieden - der Uni filter versiegelt den Deckel von der Air box besser und hat auch einen Filter vorne wo die Luft rein kommt
Weniger Staub ist Blödsinn... ich bin erst gestern durch eine Baustelle gefahren, in der ich vor Staub die Hand vor Augen nicht mehr sehen konnte.
Außerdem ist die Adventure ein Fahrzeug mit dem ich auch mal abseits der Straße auf Sand oder Schotter fahren möchte.

Quite interesting video. I think it´s somewhat aggressive, sort of "looking for trouble". I don´t see much dirt in that particular airbox, there´s oily fumes in the airbox anyways which will cause some smear on any white cloth. The contact around the airbox is not just two flat surfaces but a 90 degree lip in between. The gap the chap was pointing to did not seem to be any sort of dirty, which I woul expect if so much smear would have passed through those lips; actually the airbox in total does not look to be dusty. The 2014 airbox is said to be stiffer; I have not looked at mine since I got the 2014 model, but even the 2013 did not look badly sealed either. The biggest issue seems to be the top rim atop of the air filter in contact to the lid of the airbox, however even that contact surface did look very clean in the video and I doubt that any dirt passed through that contact surface. I have installed the PowerPart socks on the intake in the meantime. I´ll remove the tank anyways sometime soon again and will have a look at the airbox then, particularly since I have been going on trails a lot lately in dusty conditions and will be offroading again next weekend.

but you have to consider that the results he showed in the video were after only ~290miles and no dirt riding - my bike will be going in for a service this week and I hope to be present when the air box is opened (after 9500km of fairly dusty and rain riding) - will report back here

weniger Staub - warum denn ein Luft Filter sowieso?

Beim Ausschalten erscheint doch der Hinweis, dass das Gerät abschaltet und die Schaltfläche auf dem Bildschirm zu bedienen ist, wenn man dies nicht möchte. Einfach drauf drücken. Muss leider jedes mal wiederholt werden, dafür ist die Gefahr gering, dass man sich einen leeren Akku einhandelt.

oder ACC1 gebrauchen - Mann muss aber erst sicher machen das ohne Navi oder mit voll geladenem Navi, kein Strom ist, sonst geht die Batterie kaput
Ich glaube nicht ACC2 hat eine Sicherung - ist elektronisch gesichert
hier bei uns in Süd Afrika verlangen die R3000 (210 Euro) für T hinter reifen - finde Ich bisschen happig
